Sailor Moon S: Sailor Chibi Moon

The outgoing daughter of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Chibi Moon dreams of becoming a beautiful lady one day. She is a perfectionist who prefers to do things alone so she can have her way. As the series progresses, she learns to open herself more, learning what true maturity really is.

I didn’t think anyone could get her hair to look quite that right. But I think I like her red eyes more than anything! Very convincing cosplay, and it even has Konata’s stamp of approval! Great work!

Kaio Michiru is the Senshi most associated with the arts, having known skills in playing the violin, swimming, as well as painting. In Sailor Moon S, Michiru appears as temptation for Mamoru, parallel to Haruka appearing as temptation for Usagi. She has never made any advances on Mamoru, but Usagi is still jealous whenever she sees them together.

Blueocean87 makes a beautiful Sailor Neptune in Leipziger Buchmesse / Leipzig Book Fair 2009! It makes me wonder if she’s wearing colored contacts, or of those are her real eyes’ colors. Thanks to cosplay shooter for the awesome photography work and to Weiss for suggesting this!

The third installment of the Sailor Moon Saga, Sailor Moon S is considered to be one of the darkest story lines, partly due to the Death Busters’ ultimate goal of destroying all life and partly due to ethical themes of sacrifice. Chibiusa, Usagi’s daughter, returns with her own powers as Sailor Chibi Moon and fights along side her mother and the other Sailor Senshi.

Beautiful cosplays! I’m just wondering why there are only four senshi’s instead of the usual five or six, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Venus included. Maybe the rest were walking around Comiket at the time? Thanks to Misa for sending this!

Yuri Mania 1

Gokigenyou minna-san. I've been addicted to Maria-sama ga Miteru (MariMite) recently. I've started to watch the first season a few months ago in one sitting. Not only did I watch it in one day, but I rewatched it again at the same night! There were just so many characters that were introduced in the beginning that I wanted to understand more about them after watching the whole season.

Then I finished the second season a few weeks ago and loved every bit of it. It was somewhat painful to watch because the situation seemed so similar to something that happened to me. So I didn't rewatch it yet, but I did rewatch the first season again after that XD

Anyway this Yuri Mania of mine all started from the "partnership" of Sailor Neptune and Uranus from Sailor Moon S. Heck I bought the DVDs just to watch them. Unfortunately I don't really remember what happened there since it was a generic monster-of-the-week show... Eye candy really, but it was the first yuri that I've encountered and wanted to watch.

Over the years I've kept looking for more anime with yuri couples and references. Thankfully there are enough of them being made to keep my interest in it alive. Sailor Moon S: Sailor Saturn 02

After being reborn thanks to the power of Sailor Moon, Sailor Saturn (aka Tomoe Hotaru) becomes adopted and cared for by Teno Haruka and Kaioh Michiru as well as Meioh Setsuna. As a toddler, Hotaru had a habit of calling Sailor Uranus, "Hakura-papa" even though she is actually female. Similarly, Hotaru called her other two guardians as "Michiru-mama" and "Setsuna-mama".

Sailor Moon S: Sailor Neptune 02

The “Miss Congeniality” of the Sailor Senshi, Kaioh Michiru, whom is commonly referred as Sailor Neptune is a polite, calm, and sophisticated person who is very intelligent and gifted in art and music. She is often seen along side Teno Haruka (Sailor Uranus) to which several controversies have sprung from.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen pretty Senshi cosplayers. I’ve only got to see a couple of episodes of Sailormoon S, but I heard it was the best of the series. Anyway, great work on this! I really like her wig and eyes. It’s quite perfect, don’t you think?

Sailor Moon S: Sailor Saturn

One of the most powerful Sailor Senshi in the Sailor Moon universe, Sailor Saturn, or Tomoe Hotaru yields the Silence Glaive, a weapon that can destroy the universe.

In the manga, Hotaru is a very mysterious character because she is part cyborg. This was her father’s attempt to save her from the lab accident that killed her mother. In the anime, however, she is not cybernetic, but she is still unpopular among her classmates due to her seizures.

It’s perhaps one of the most difficult tasks to cosplay one of the Sailor Senshi. Their uniforms are quite revealing (to the delight of fanboys everywhere). This cosplayer really got Sailor Saturn’s image perfectly! Great job!
