I could have sworn I’ve seen these two somewhere before… but now I can’t remember from where! I thought it was Bakemonogatari, but the character list doesn’t include a girl with flowers in her hair.

Hetalia: Axis Powers: Honda Sakura

If I had to take a guess, two characters come to mind: Suzumiya Haruhi from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi or Hirasawa Yui from K-On! It’s because her hair is similar to both characters, but the kimono reminds me Kinomoto Sakura from an episode in Card Captor Sakura.

Whatever series or game she’s from, I think she could be one of those strong female characters everyone else in the story falls in love with.

Who wouldn’t, right?

I’m not really sure what those Japanese text in the photo means, but the photographer probably put them there for a reason. A sort of signature maybe? Thanks to Sarah for sending this!

SoniComi: Sonico

Well, she’s probably one of the cutest girls in seifuku I have ever seen, but not even that pinkish-white hair, glasses, and headphones give me the slightest clue as to which series or game she could be from.

UTAUloid: Kasane Teto

I have this nagging feeling that she may be another fanmade Vocaloid character like Yowane Haku, but I've gone through a couple of Vocaloid fansites with no luck in finding out who she could be! I wish we could at least see what the number on her right arm is, then I’d have a better clue!

If I had to guess though, I’d think she’s probably another version of Miku or Meiko.

For now, I’ll be featuring her in the Unknown Section until I get a better idea. Thanks to Ian for sending this!

Now this is interesting.

Not only is the uniform cute, but there is an additional cuteness of… cat ears or fox ears?

I’m tempted to say fox ears, because that symbol she’s making with her hand is a fox, right? And it looks like she has a tail too!

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi / Zeta Gundam: Nagato Yuki and RX-178 Gundam Mk-II

You can probably tell that's Nagato Yuki from The Menlancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi giving a notice to the Gundam; but that’s just the thing: I have no idea what Gundam model and make that is! And those “03” markings make me think it’s an Eva Unit more than a Gundam.

So I shall be leaving this in the Unknown section while I quietly sit down and wait for my readers to let me know from which series that Gundam is from… please? While I try to figure out how to title this blog entry properly seeing we have a crossover between two series. A very cute one at that. Thanks to again to Miriam for sending this!

Now this is one character I thought I’d find in a fighting game or some similar genre… Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find anything that matches her look!

With all the submissions I’ve received from Winter Comiket, I realize that I’m way behind on my anime and manga series.

Steins;Gate: Makise Kurisu

MoeHaku 2010 paid host to a fair amount of official cosplayers to accompany the anime-themed cars, bicycles, motorcycles, and even a bus on display for public viewing.

And as usual, it appears my loyal readers are on top of things, as I have a mountain of cosplay photos from the event! Thanks a lot guys!

Strawberry Panic!: Okuwaka Tsubomi

This is probably the last unknown cosplay for the year. Wow, how long has it been since I started writing about cosplays? It's so nostalgic now that I think about it.

Anyway, pink haired girl with a black headband in an expensive looking school uniform... She's really pretty, and this is another image by photographer MPZero. I think I'll need to have sections for photographers too someday, but I have so many tags already that people might think it's confusing...

日本鬼子: Hinomoto Oniko

I think I have an idea who this character is, but I can’t place a name to it.

Remember how the Chinese illustrated the Japanese as “devils” or “demons” because of their cruelty back in World War II? I seem to recall reading a recent Japanese retaliation by turning that character “moe”.

Then again, there are a lot of miko characters out there and she could be one of those too. Otherwise, her hair’s like Yuuko’s.

Vocaloid 2: Megurine Luka 07

If I were to take a wild guess (which I did), I’d say she was from Pink Sweets; the game I’m not entirely familiar with. However, after further searching, I was not able to come across any character from that series who resembles this cosplayer at all.

I’m just hoping my readers’ guesses turn out to be much better than mine. Thanks to Ikehara for suggesting this!

I bet people guessed this was coming...

Winter Comiket's flood of cosplays are not over yet! There are several more photos sent to that were impressive and cute, but I have no idea who they are cosplaying!

Take these two for example. Pure white clothing and they are holding what appears to be... apples. tomatoes! Could they be cosplaying twin characters? Or is the same character cosplayed by two people?
