After a long silence Sasori & Deidara moments number 3 is finally out and viewable on Youtube. I will also announce that there will be less ninjas in the future. We have few ideas for the moments but the Akatsuki interviews have been shelved, for now.
We were quick! Snowtroopers and alternative transportations got just uploaded on our account. One thing we would like to share.... GARDENING GLOVES? WINTER?! That is one big character design misstep! I didn't feel my fingers at one point, but then again we could have chosen another day for the shoot. Or not, because Yoki got only this weekend to spare for some cosplay madness and madness it was.
Years ago summer was very dry and two young women decided to do something that changed their lives completely. Their first cosplay together, featured in Yoki transmission - The kaksi
Finally, we could say. We had most of the material filmed last year, but the editing or fighting with this seriously disabled Movie Maker took ages. Still, we did it! Akatsuki interviews 3 is now viewable on Youtube.
We simply couldn't wait any longer, so here is little something. This is just a foretaste from things to come. We have too many ideas for these guys!
Because it's Father's Day, we want to dedicate this clip and all the future ones involving whiteys to Esa, our metal expert, who build a vacuum forming table from scratch!
Second clip from series of Sasori-Deidara moments has been uploaded on our Youtube account. It's a first vid were we used separate audio clips for monologue. It's my voice, if anyone wonders. I just happened to have a flu, which made me sound like I have drinked little too much of Whisky. Half of the footage was shot over a month ago, while the other half, the diary takes were shot today. Enjoy!
Joxter and Muddler are now viewable on Youtube. This was really nice project to work with, even if we had few bumps on the road. Again the music is from incompetech.com by Kevin McLeod. Great man, I must admit. Enjoy!
As the title says, the first part of Sasori-Deidara moments has been uploaded. This happened yesterday, when our account scored 500 subscribers... which for some peculiar reason has dropped to 499 even if the insight doesn't show any unsubscriptions. Well, who knows about Youtube really...
The filming took little longer compared to the first part. This time we had some action going on, which took numerous takes, some fooling and few snaps. We had some problems with outsiders, dogs and people in this case. We had to wait few times them to stop blabbing and barking under our window. We even made an little song about them in the brink of a moment. It went something like “It’s almost impossible to film when there are people talking loudly”-etc. We also had some problems with lighting also known as the sun. Because it was a cloudy day, not continuous shine all the time, the shots look rather dark. Some takes were not usable, so there are some small errors with few lines.
We filmed some extra material labeled “Sasori and Deidara moments” to be put out during this year in small portions. This for the celebration of our Sasori and Deidara cosplays, which we have worn out four years and for our blog, which we have wrote soon for a year.
Oh yeah, we didn't suffer any casualties, even if at one point we were coming down the stairs pretty fast.
Today is the official Geek Pride Day! The origins and manifesto of this great holiday can be found on all-mighty Wikipedia. There is no denial of us being geeks of some sort. Naturally we will take part of spreading the geekiness on our small corner of the community. And it shall happen with Casualty Cosplay’s own Geeky Alphabets! We loaded a video on Youtube for your enjoyment. After finishing our alphabets I ran into "The Geek Alphabet" post at Geeks are Sexy. Not a coincidence that they are partially same!
Today is also annual celebration known as Towel Day, which is a tribute for Douglas Adams, the creator of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. To honour the work and memory of this great author keep a towel with you today where ever you go!
Today I went to Yoki's place with my wig and a bottle of fake blood. We had done the script ready a week earlier, so we didn't have to mind that. The editing was fast, thanks to Yoki's new computer. Zero crashes, zero grey hairs. Music, more precicely "Bad Ideas (distressed)" we got from incompetech.com by Kevin MacLeod and it's licenced under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0. At 11am we started to prepare for our photoshoot and and at 6pm we were ready and the outcome of the day was uploaded on Youtube. You can check here for Akatsuki interviews.
Obligatory "after" pic.
We were thinking of doing a series of interviews. First question came up years ago when we were cosplaying Sasori and Deidara the first time, but for some reason we didn't materialize it back then. The second one was just random idea we laughted about when we were drinking coffee and tea and playing cards. If you have ideas or you would like to ask something from Sasori and Deidara, leave a comment or send us a message on Youtube!
