Misaka Mikoto Mania

It's no surprise that I've become a big Mikoto fan since my last blog layout update... So you know I've got a few Mikoto goods lying around the house.

The first one is of course the Mikoto messenger bag by Cospa. Quite a pricey one, but hot damn it's worth it! Mikoto looks big on that bag! Lots of compartments and lots of room for a messenger bag. There's also another set of interesting strap with a clip on it for extra support. I was puzzled about how it worked. I had to look at the product picture again...

Next up is another Cospa product... I'm a Cospa addict, I tells ya! This time it's the shirt that was released early in 2010. Gorgeous Mikoto with lightning around her. The only thing missing are her knee pits...

I also ordered a few microfiber mini towels. They're randomly packed and I was glad all of them had Mikoto on it at least ^^;

I'm already using one of them as a wipe for my glasses. Since it's a towel I could just wash it if it gets dirty :P

I don't buy single CDs much but since the Limited Edition for Future Gazer was still available, I thought I'd pick it up and see what's on that DVD they included. I didn't hear anything unique with Future Gazer, but after a while I started to like it. Not as much as Level 5 Judgelight though ^^;

Of course I gotta have the Good Smile Company 1/8 Mikoto! I almost didn't order this actually... I don't know what came over me. Thankfully there was still time to preorder since it was going to be released soon.

I really love the box! Got the title on the transparent side for a nice effect.

I knew she had the magnetic sand sword, but I didn't know where her extra hand was... Very well hidden under the base.

But hey I got a shot of her knee pits! Lovely.

Instruction for a simple hand replacement procedure for her... Yet there are none for the complex MegaHouse cast-off figures. Something's wrong here.

As cool as she looks with her sword, I still prefer without it.

The seam on her hair is too prominent though... It bothers me just a little. It depends on the angle you see her anyway.

I bought one of these tesla dome lamp thingies a long time ago and I thought, "hey, that would be a cool background for the Level 5 Electro Master! Looks cool even when there's still light out.

But looks epic when it's in the dark! You don't see her details much, but damn, she looks cool here!

She's now the new resident of my computer desk. Nyagato had to move somewhere else for now ^^;

Up next is the main event! The talking Railgun clock featuring Mikoto and Kuroko! I was going back and forth whether to get it or not since it's expensive. Of course I have it now after quite a lot of deliberation and I figured I could use it somewhere... *cough*atwork*cough*

Here's a list of what they say. They both say something at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock. Other times they take turns.

Batteries included!

I turned the hour and minute hand to the optimal time of 10:10. If you didn't know, people who sells clocks usually turn it to 10:10 so that it looks like a smiley face. 2 batteries for the voice and one for the clock.

And what's a talking clock without showing you what they say, right? ^_^

Lastly... One more thing inside my Mikoto bag...

Gotta have that Mikoto dakimakura, yes? She's quite the cutie here ^_^

The sexy side is her in that cute polka dot swimsuit... But it looks like the materials been cut real short now! YOWZA!

That's it for Misaka Mikoto Mania! I regret that my madness runs only this deep... I mean, I don't have the Azone doll, nor the hoodie... They were just too pricey =_=; Oh well, but the figma is coming soon! AWESOME!

More Changes...

I wasn't going to change the layout again but Blogger and Google was messing around a lot with their template designer. Not to mention other features...

I hate to lose my corner Mikoto and the bottom corner knee pit. She looks too cool, but the template that I was using was obsolete. The comment system was broken. I keep telling it to make it embedded instead of going to another page, but it keeps failing. Google also added a feature for linking and sharing feature for Twitter and Facebook. I added it in, but it doesn't work in the old template.

But recently I found that they've improved their template designer significantly, so I thought I played around with it. Now everything's new and "fixed". New background, new header... But I was hoping I could add more Mikoto (the above picture) on the left side on the background. It looks like it wont work with my resolution though and the inconsistent background change on people's resolution. So I'll stick with the lightning background and a small Mikoto on top.

Let me know if something doesn't work or anything I can improve here and hopefully I can fix up the messy blogrolls next ^^;

EDIT: Added Saber on the right side just to make it into a "LIGHTNING" Saber... LOL!

Late Night Loot Unboxing

I've finally received my big package from Hobby Search for the end of July. All of these were released in July but I waited for all of them to be there first and combined into one shipping. I'm surprised they all fit into one box!


I picked up up the Goodsmile Company's Misaka Mikoto quite late actually. I ordered it just a couple of weeks before its release. I didn't know why I waited, really... The fan was also on a whim just because I liked To Aru Kagaku no Railgun a lot, but looking at it closely, it's not that great looking. At least it's small. I will post better pictures of the fan and the Mikoto figure at a later time.

I think Saber Alter was either released late June or delayed to early July. While everyone got theirs already, I didn't mind waiting as long as I can save money on shipping :P I think I'll do a group picture of all the Sabers again now that she's here.

Two K-ON Figmas and in numerical order! Pretty sure I'm going to have some fun with Mio's crying face and Mugi's yuri ecchi face for my 4koma. :D I ordered all five of the girls in Figma form, but not all the Nendoroids. Reason being that Nendoroids are more expensive and I sorta have more fun with the Figmas ^^;

And one more mysterious box... I was going to make a surprise post for this one this week. Unfortunately it didn't arrive safely. There's something broken when I opened it. I've send an email to Hobby Search, but they will be on holidays soon, so I won't get a response until at least Tuesday. T-T No fair! And so you'll have to be in the dark about it much more longer than I would've liked to keep you =P

Happy April Fools Month!

Eh? What's that? April Fools supposed to only last a day? So I did this wrong by doing this for a month long? So technically I was trolling people? I don't really know how to troll though. Oh, that doesn't matter if I don't know or not because I really did troll for a month? Hmm... But if I make it a reality it won't be a troll anymore right?

 

 I really should stop talking to myself... I've been posting a lot in the last few days, eh? ^^; I think I was just trying to fit all my planned posts before I end this charade, lol. So yes, "Within a Flash of Pantsu" is just a long running April Fools prank. I had planned this because I thought about redoing my blog layout, but since I made the decision around the same time as April Fool's Day then I thought I'd make it work and give myself a month deadline to fix everything. Unfortunately things just do not go as planned...

My job which had been reduced to 3 days a week from 4 days suddenly had increased to 5 days a week. This is because someone left due to some circumstances that I will not reveal here. And I haven't even been officially told that I have his job or what my schedule is! Wonderful days indeed.

So unfortunately I have to give some excuses as to why all of my plans haven't been fulfilled to redo this blog. At least the new template is ready. Misaka taking centre stage in relightning my blog header ^^ Let me know if there are some quirks because I was testing it in a separate test blog and it might not have the same stuff as this template.

So I apologize if I inconvenience anyone because of this so-called permanent change in my blog - m(_ _)m  In exchange I'll give you tons of Misaka Mikoto in this post ^^;

But that's not to say that Within a Flash of Pantsu is dead... No, no, no. It's alive and starting its second life! See the thing with going ecchi, you can't have limits. If you have limits, it's pointless... So the new Pantsu blog is adults only because that way I can fully express myself as Ecchi Man. Lightning Sabre can be ecchi, but he has too much prudence and often limited himself to go fully ecchi. I have to stop talking in third person... It's almost like I have a split personality... ANYHOO!

I still have link banners I have to work on and a separate link page... But I'll be very, very busy next week, what with Video Games Live on Thursday, Iron Man 2 on Friday and a US trip on Saturday! Not to mention the extra work I still have to do... So for now I'll have to stick with the side banner linking.

Oh and as of 11:11 PM on April 30th, I have this many visitors in a month! The most I've had in a month ever since my blog started! I wonder if it's because I changed my blog to something people would search for? Either way, thank you very much for your visits! I'm grateful for all of you to come and visit this silly overplanned blog of mine. Thank you, thank you!
